Chicago poet and Austin resident Janet Kuypers returned to Chicago in the middle of August in 2024, and was honored with the opportunity to be the primary feature in a poetry bonus week event at Tangible Books (3324 S. Halsted, Bridgeport, IL) with host Vittorio Carli on Saturday evening, August 17^th 2024.

    Janet Kuypers during this evening performed her new poems for her “The Universe is in Your Hands” Janet Kuypers 2024 poetry book feature at Tangible Books event, which contained new poetry from the CyberWit 2024 Janet Kuypers book “The Universe is in Your Hands” — a book that contains poetry where you can literally circle around the entire world for poetry about culture and society (with poetry on the beginning and the end of the Universe, and poetry about the planets and moons of our Solar System too), even contains a location index to find poetry about different places she delves into in this poetic journey.

    Janet Kuypers chose pieces about peace and testing the boundaries of humanity — and the world — for this featured reading, done as a solid stream of poems which, per Kuypers’s request, had no applause until the end of her reading.
