The Universe is in Your Hands

    Chicago poet and Austin resident Janet Kuypers returned to Chicago in the middle of August in 2024, and was honored with the opportunity to be the finalé performer at the Windy City Reads open mic immediately following her poetry book “The Universe is in Your Hands” feature at Chicago’s Tangible Books on Saturday evening, August 17th 2024. There she was able to share Chicago-themed poetry — not only from her recently-released CyberWit 2024 poetry book “The Universe is in Your Hands”, but also an Illinois-inspired poem “Knew the Word” from the Scars Publications book “Every Event of the Year (Volume Two: July-December)”, but also her classic poem “New to Chicago” (where she sold copies of her book in one of the last stops in her Summer 2024 poetry tour for this book release).
