Ice Upon The Lake
Dina J. Daniel
This mounted glazed overlay
Appearing baked
Gives rise to showered clouds
And separates in density.
For each mile
Links open, then close the earth
In massive thickened textures,
Motioning isolated breaks
Between coasting lslands
Which draw in round minded observers,
Whose wonderings stir, then settle
Upon the lake.

Jewels
Dina J. Daniel
Pebbles in the river
Glisten by the sun
Washed by the tide
Of running water
Appear as tiny jewels

A Soliloquy of Slumber
Dina J. Daniel
Calm wind whispers a content prayer
brightening the air with dust clouds
for each of us unto ourselves
to go under heavily sleeping.
Momentarily, our soul sobs
heavy - a weighted silo
crawling among flowered beds
set before the universe trimbling.
Naturally, from rapid eye movement
motion explodes ending
all hushed sounds pressing an open inner eye.
A deep sigh falls. Extraordinary!
What has been revealed, yet, hardly
a cause to motion against the cross wrinkle
of a bed sheet, except
for the slow breathe of sleep.

Dry, bitter, brown in color
Melting delight becomes sticky
Two apples dipped in carmel

Labled container splatters
Dense liquid grows thin
Morning juice saturated by ice
