Bears LOV necklace
to the chest
and bouquet of red roses
and green leaves

Where one would expect
facial features of head
in full bloom

Ambiguous to both
anonymous love
and premature death

But probably only meant
as a surrealist visual pun
as a trick of language
visualized in colors

The painting may live on as
possible attack on social realism

Where strokes don’t come headless
and don’t leave without head.
