in illusions of empathy –
unbridgeable canyons –

Their voices dance like sandstorms,
as I swirl in a mirage of desert,
part of the scene...

behind a window.

Fly on the wall,
do you sit and listen,
taking notes
to report on it all?

Fly on the wall,
Here, in the fractured desert
where the windowless pyramids
stand on the buried alive,
do you hear us?
