Memorial Day
a decade ago I wrote
about my dad, I wrote
about boyfirends,
I had no idea
of what life had in store for me
and now I sit here with John
and we’re married
and I live on the other side of the country
and he has no idea what I think
and I don’t know how to tell him
supposed to get easier
when you get older
and when you’re a
communication major
and when you have so much
experience under your belt
