Buddha309 is not a real person at all...he’s a laboratory experiment gone awry, a crazy quilt of deeply held philosophies, hyperbole, white lies, and anything recorded at 45 rpm since Chuck Berry. He no longer engages in conversations that try to figure out the definition of Jazz, Punk, or Poetry. David Hargarten is a real person and, under the name Buddha 309, hosts an open mic/reading series called “Waiting 4 the Bus.” W4tB takes place on the first and third Monday’s of the month at Café Ballou, 901 W. Jackson from 7:30-10pm. He, with Matt Barton and Esteban Colon, formed the loose poetry collective called Waiting 4 the Bus. Most recently, David launched Exact Change Press and released the poetry journal called Exact Change Only. Come out and hear this guy. This is a rare feature performance.
