“Like a Lamb to the Slaughter” Below are video links from a September 2nd 2015 (9/2/15, or 20150902) poetry performance (with accompanying meditation single-strum guitar music in the background) of Janet Kuypers’s last scheduled Chicago poetry feature through Poetry At the Gallery Cabaret (the continuation of Janet Kuypers’ poetry open mic at the Café Gallery, now with Dave Gecic as host) at Chicago’s “the Gallery Cabaret” (at 2020 North Oakley Ave. in Chicago) before her move, with “Like a Lamb to the Slaughter”. All of the NEW pieces from this reading were also released in a “Like a Lamb to the Slaughter” chapbook, which you can download as a free PDF file any time (the older classic poems at the end of the show, and her reading of the Bob Rashkow poem — and the Bob Rashkow two readings of Janet Kuypers poems, were not inclded in the chapbook, as they were last-minute additions to the live performance.) There are also two additional web page listings for the videos from this show — one is at Scars Video (at www.artvilla.com/scars), and the other is from the main listing at artvilla. Below are video links to the live performance of “Like a Lamb to the Slaughter” at Live at the Gallery Cabaret in Chicago. |
