I’ve been looking for something
that will make me smile
that for a little bit,
every once in a while,

well, I’ve been looking
for something that could
suspend my beliefs

something that will just make me laugh
something that will make me
think of nothing

well, and something that I won’t mind

I’ve been looking for a reason to laugh

I’ve been looking for anything
that looks like a reason

and maybe that’s my problem

maybe I should just let
the good things happen
and maybe I shouldn’t get so worried

and maybe then I’d laugh more
