Impoverished hope

Sarah Ahmad

Overthrow of an obvious confusion
Refusing to acknowledge
the fog of animosity.
Heading straight
into a complex mix of revolution
Trying to resist,
fleeing, rolling over
to reply with dissenting voices.
Talking about the interference
of the swift in a gory speech.
Riots that erupted
exude
a spontaneous charm
for the unwise.
