Included in this bonus collection are reading from poetry read on the streets (at a number of locations around the country - and even in the Pacific Ocean in the Southern Hemisphere - over the years), guitar playing with poetry (both sung and read), meetings with Penny Dreadful Press founder C Ra McGuirt, open mics, and even a bonus feature of a (year 39) performance art show at Waiting 4 the Bus called “One Acts.” Because the volume one cover was of white rocks, and the volume two cover was of black rocks, Kuypers looked for concrete (fitting for her family history in the concrete business) and rocks mixed together for the volume three cover — so white rocks would be mixed with black for this bonus Chapter 38 book. And because this is a bonus book, all poems are included from the shows in this collection (even if they also appeared in other shows within this three volume collection). Kuypers continues writing, even specifically for performance art shows, and her CD releases of performance art shows (studio and live) are available for sale online (at places like iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, eMusic, MusicNow, Bell Mobility, MediaNet Digital, Ruckus Network, Sprint, Verizon, Amazon MP3, MusicNet and more - available and purchased in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and Japan). But this bonus volume completes her collection of past writings appearing in performance art shows.
Below is a listing of all of the writings appearing in the book (the artwork is not listed on this page.) Also, we have listed the book contents for these two books side by side, so you can see the differences between them (also, sections missing from volume 1 may appear in volume 2 of Chapter 38 as well). Also, any additional readings and performances before Kuypers’ 39th birthday (like the videoed poetry readings with C Ra McGuirt of Penny Dreadful Press in Nashville Tennessee in the beginning of May 2009) will be placed into a “Chapter 38” chapbook, that will be availlable on line before July 2009. (if there is enough material, this supplement edition of “Chapter 38” may even be released as a perfect-bound bonus book edition.)
