“Chapter 38” (title based on the first chapbook Kuypers ever released, Chapter 18, when she was 18 years old) was designed as a collection book of poetry that has appeared in past performance art shows (released when Kuypers was 38 years old). Because of the plethora of shows she has performed and hosted, it became a two volume set, each of 380 pages. However, as Kuypers’ 38th year drew to a close, she saw room to add one more bonus book to this collection — so Chapter 38 would become a three volume set, released through cc&#ampld magazine and Scars Publications.Included in this bonus collection are reading from poetry read on the streets (at a number of locations around the country - and even in the Pacific Ocean in the Southern Hemisphere - over the years), guitar playing with poetry (both sung and read), meetings with Penny Dreadful Press founder C Ra McGuirt, open mics, and even a bonus feature of a (year 39) performance art show at Waiting 4 the Bus called “One Acts.”Because the volume one cover was of white rocks, and the volume two cover was of black rocks, Kuypers looked for concrete (fitting for her family history in the concrete business) and rocks mixed together for the volume three cover — so white rocks would be mixed with black for this bonus Chapter 38 book.
