On Saturday May 18th 2013, Janet Kuypers came to Nashville to perform readings of her original poetry in a joint event with C Ra McGuirt, highlighting poems scheduled for their future joint book “Tag Team Poets”. Before the feature started, Janet Kuypers read three Periodic Table poems (where Kuypers is writing a poem for every element in the Periodic Table, and performing them only at features), including Tin (where she banged on a drum for the reading), Molybdenum (where she banged on a drum for the reading), and Neodymium (sung with original music by her husband John). During the show (where she also usually wore her “Tag Team” wrestling belt), she read back and forth poems with C Ra McGuirt, including “On All Fours”, “Dog Stuck to my Face”, “September 11, 2001”, “Terrorism Intelligence”, “Counting bodies”, “Now You’re Nothing to Me”, “Keep Them Apart”, “Got on the Road Again”, “Vegetarian Stands by the Meat Sale”, “Knotted Hate”, “Trying to Change Fate”, “Aeon Flux Crawl”, “That’s from the barbed wire”, and “Made Any Difference”. After the over hour long performance was concluded, Janet Kuypers read (because the month following this show, June 2013, marks the 20 year anniversary of the production of her literary magazine cc&d (full name “Children Churches and Daddies”, byline: the UN-religious, NON-family oriented literary and art magazine, from Scars Publications to cc&d), her poem “Children Churches and Daddies” and her prose “Scars” (the writings that the magazine and the publishing group got their names from)..
