“an Artist’s Take on Science” Periodic Table of Poetry readings in Janet Kuypers’ 20131213 feature at Fine Arts Building in downtown Chicago, live at the “Fine Arts Building Winter Celebration ... and Poetry, of Course”
These shorter “Periodic Table of Poetry” poems were accompanied with a music from the 2011 “Hotel Music” series from the HA!Man of South Africa (Francois Le Roux), and this set included newer (less known to the average person) elements that she was able to write more poetically about, because as she has been writing poems for every element in the Periodic Table, she is getting towards the end, where she is able to write about remaining elements that are less known to the general public (which therefore allows for more poetic license when interpreting these elements for poetry). This feature was recorded with two video cameras (Canon and Sony), and Scars Publications even released an online PDF file chapbook of “an Artist’s Take on Science” (available as a free download any time). And thank you to Jenene Ravesloot for snapping this photo of Kuypers before her performance selling Scars Publications smaller poetry and prose books at the back table!
