It was the place
I first performed in
On a night when
No one showed up

And it was the place
I found my ex-wife
Our eyes embracing
In the blinding smoke

For it was the place
I first discovered
Every beginning
Carries its own end

And now this place
Of broken music
Is a restaurant where
I dine with ghosts
