Light
Janet Kuypers
12/26/19, the anniversary of the 1898 day the
Curies announce the existence of Radium, #88/Ra,
on Facebook and Twitter
Marie Curie
kept bottles
of Radium
in her coat pocket,
stored it
in her desk drawer
her papers,
after 100 years,
are still radioactive
(a word she coined)
working with
Radium for years,
she loved the
glow from her bottles
in her lab at night,
they were her
“faint, fairy lights”
