Value of What
    Money Does

Janet Kuypers
8/24/19 written on this day in
1967 when, led by Abbie Hoffman,
the Youth International Party
disrupted New York Stock Exchange
trading by throwing dollar bills from the
viewing gallery, causing trading to cease
as brokers scramble to grab them.

In our modern-day culture,
money is needed to survive,
I get it
but a line is crossed with
the value of money versus
the value of what money
does

Prove me wrong, take a look
at traders at the New York
Stock Exchange
, go ahead,
throw money
down on that trading floor
and see how short-sighted
those money-obsessed men
can really be

I get it, to deal with a culture
you have to deal with money
I get it
but see how short-sighted
it can make some, then check
back to see how happy they
can really be
