Objectifiable 2021 Janet Kuypers 12/7/21 a continuation of the 2013 poem “Objectifiable” I’ve experienced it for I don’t know how many years, men degrading women. When I was walking down the street today, a man in an ugly mini-van stuck his head out of his window to holler for me Wow, lucky me. I’m still objectifiable. But don’t worry, objectification transcends physical proximity, even in post- coronavirus times, while many places are still closed... I was interviewed on a Chicago radio station where men could still post on a YouTube video that “I would like to see you wear something a bit more revealing. You have a nice rack.” Because yes, lucky us, being as objectifiable as we all are — female objectification even transcends the Internet. Yes, lucky me indeed.
