“Periodic Poetry”
Periodic Table of Poetry readings
in Janet Kuypers’ 20121121 featuure
at the Café Gallery in Chicago
In her largest performance of Janet Kuypers’ Periodic Table of Poetry poem readings (in her effort to write a poem for every element in the Periodic Table, to later become a book), Janet Kuypers was the feature at the Café Gallery in Chicago on November 21st 2012 (11/21/12, the poetry open mic she hosts, though this week Bob Rashkow hosted the events of the evening) with “Periodic Poetry”.
“Periodic Poetry” in this show was broken down into three 3-poem “sections”, each with a different piece of music from the 2011 “Hotel Music” from the HA!Man of South Africa (Francois Le Roux).
“Periodic Poetry” is available not only as a free PDF file chapbook titled “Periodic Poetry”, but the threee separate mini-sections of the show are also available as separate mini chapbooks: for War and Country (part 1, covering national pride and atomic bombs), Life, Death & the Universe (part 2, covering topic in the title), and Lights on our Insides (part 3, based on requests from people about what poems should be read during the feature).
Event listings for this feature can be found on both the facebook events page (which has links to both of the feature show Canon and Sony cameras videos) as well as the Chicago poetry calendar [dot] org link (which has ALL of the separated video files embedded on the page).
