Orangello and Lemonjello
should stay away today,
for on the first of this month
this woman’s ninth pint
of her silver spirit
will send purple fumes
up the chimney. This day,
boisterous, irrepressible
for the metered masses,
tells you to step out
of their cookie cutter,
because...
when those masses
show you all your options,
that’s when it’s time
to break free.
