Eight to SixteenJanet Kuypers10/8/14
You came back again
You know I love you #
It’s a terrible thing to say, I know,
I figured you ingested their toxic water
But this time, with your fever,
and I thought nothing of it. #
But after eight days,
And that’s when the doctor
After you left for the doctor,
They asked me if I was alone.
I told them I needed to wait
After hours, they told me
But I said, “Wait a minute,
so that he’d be immune
They locked me in a room.
while helping a woman
It took them two days
“He’s in isolation,
But, I know of this virus,
That’s when they said, “Sorry,
So I screamed at the medics,
So...
that death from this virus Eight to sixteen days.
It was eight days
I couldn’t talk to him.
tell him I loved him. #
The morning of the 5th day, #
My blood work was clean,
And all I could think
so the world will know
And still, I continue to pace, ever again.
