Occasionally Janet Kuypers used the stage (while she is hosting the Chicago open mic “the Café Gallery” which she hosted at both ‘the Gallery Cabaret’ and ‘the Café’ 2010-2015) to read poetry from someone else, and Kuypers has occasionally chosen to read other people’s writing, but most of the time (especially at the beginnings of months), Kuypers would read (as editor of the two literary magazines cc&d (byline: the UN-religious, NON-family oriented literary and art magazine, founded 1993) and Down in the Dirt (“revealing all your dirty little secrets” a 1994 supplement to cc&d, founded 2000) very short poems from accepted authors in (at the time) current magazine issues (in an effort to get the word out about acceptances to her magazines at Scars Publications). On this web page is a collection of video clips of her reading poetry (and occasionally insanely short prose) from other writers to a live audience. |
