Janet Kuypers 20210831 I am looking forward to seeing everyone on the first Sunday of every month - join me at the Zoom meeting for the “Poetic License virtual open mic 9/5/21” — the Austin, Texas ‘Recycled Reads’ pre-pandemic open mic that is now GLOBAL through the Zoom meeting — if you don’t have the address, you can find it on the Facebook event page. John F. McMullen (host of the Zoom meeting) usually starts the Zoom meeting as early as 3:00 PM CST, so people have ~ a half-hour to chat before the open mic starts, and host Janet Kuypers is usually there 10-15 minutes before the beginning of the open mic. So get your creative juices flowing, because I look forward to seeing EVERYONE at the “Poetic License virtual open mic 9/5/21” Zoom meeting on Sunday, 9/=5/21 from 3:30-5:30 PM CST! https://www.facebook.com/events/365028161839772/ |

Janet Kuypers 20210831 I am so glad Rich came by last night and we finally saw the documentary “The Loneliest Whale” (the Search for 52) before he goes back to Chicago in September. When I first moved to Austin I wrote the poem about this one animal and his “Unique Noise” that I later then wrote into the poem “One Lonesome Whale” for Animal Tales in 2020 and 2021, but after seeing this documentary about a whale people around the world have felt this connection to, it’s nice to know that “52” might now be so lonely after all. |

Janet Kuypers, via Instagram, and Tumblr. 20210829 John thought I was doing some sort of superhero pose. I thought I was doing the Laurie Anderson “O Superman” EP pose. Either way, I’m glad my doctor encouraged me to get the Moderna vaccine booster (shot #3), so today it is accomplished. |
